This annual event produced in part by Comedy Central, Fantasma Productions, and William Morris Agency brings stand up comedy to South Florida offering performances for all in the community to appreciate and participate in the art form. Nightly free-of-charge shows will take place on Lincoln Road and Euclid Avenue. Theatres within a generous square mile radius of the free stage will house comedy sets thoughout the festival. The most expensive seat is $75.00 and shows have sold out quickly in years past. http://www.southbeachcomedyfestival.com allows you to search each comedian's bio, and link to their personal websites, see the full festival schedule and buy advance tickets.
The festival engages the community to watch stand up, but it also encourages you to participate in the art form. The "So, You Think You're Funny" contest searches for the new comedic talent. Comedy Central, The Paul and Young Ron Show, Improv comedy clubs, and CBS 4, combine resources and ask for your help in selecting the funniest new talent each year.
