The Enzian officially announced their Opening Night Film for the 17th Annual Florida Film Festival, which is being held March 28th through April 6th. The film is the southeast premiere of Young @ Heart, directed by British director Stephen Walker.
Young @ Heart is a documentary story about senior citizens in New England learning and reciting rock n roll music. The retirees are led by Bob Climan, who teaches them music by The Ramones, Sonic Youth, and Cold Play to name a few.
The opening night film has been sold out for about 2 weeks already. Oddly enough, the film wasn't even announced until today. It might have something to do with this year's special guest, Anthony Bourdain of Travel Channel's No Reservations. Tickets for the opening night party are still available.
If you want to catch Young @ Heart, there is another screening on Saturday, April 5th at 6:30pm at the Regal Cinemas at the Winter Park Village.
