Three New Appointees Announced For FFEAC

As of Wednesday, July 2nd, three new appointees to the Florida Film and Entertainment Advisory Council (FFEAC) were announced up in Tallhassee. Two of the new council members were appointed by Governor Charlie Crist and one by Senate President Ken Pruitt.
The new council members are:
Vivian R. Myrtetus of Tallahassee. She is VP of Public Relations at Core Message. Vivian previously managed communications for the Crist gubernatorial campaign. Her term period is July 1, 2008 through August 20, 2012.
Stephen A. Schlow of Orlando. He is the Film Department Chair at UCF. His term period is July 1, 2008 through August 20, 2010.
Agustin G. Corbella of Tallahassee. He is the Director of Governmental Affairs for Greenberg Traurig, which is a law firm, prior to which he served as Chief of Staff for Senate President Ken Pruitt. He is also a senior advisor for the John McCain For President campaign. His term period is August 1, 2008 through August 1, 2012.
It looks like we have 1 genuine filmmaker being added to the council and 2 scratch my backs.

The purpose of the Council is to serve as an advisory body to the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development and to the Governor's Office of Film and Entertainment to provide these offices with industry insight and expertise related to developing, marketing, promoting, and providing service to Florida's entertainment industry.
