IDEAS has officially announced that it will be moving its operation to downtown Orlando in April 2009. IDEAS is currently located on the backlot of Disney's Hollywood Studios. They have been there for over 7 years.
"I am thrilled to welcome IDEAS to Downtown Orlando," said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. "Bringing this innovative and inventive company downtown builds on the City's plans to develop the Creative Village, a place where high-tech, digital media and creative industry companies integrate with residential, retail and academia in a neighborhood that is connected to the surrounding community and globally plugged in. This emerging Creative Village – with companies like IDEAS - will continue to diversify our economy by attracting high-value and high-wage jobs that will drive the future of Central Florida and grow the next generation economy."
IDEAS' new home will be 64 E. Concord Street. It is directly south of the Orlando Sentinel complex and was most recently the home of Central Florida News 13 before they moved into the Wachovia Building at Central and Orange. IDEAS has been rebuilding for a few months now.
