The latest FilmSlam took place April 17th.  The winners are chosen by audience vote and a rare thing happened.  Two films tied for first place. The winning short films were Cicada and Haunt Me in the Night. They will be screened at the next Central Florida Film Festival.

The next FilmSlam is taking place May 8, 2022 at Orlando Museum of Art. The screening starts at 2pm and runs for 60 minutes. Following the screening a live streamed Q and A with cast and crew happens. You are encouraged to ask questions and discuss the films with those who made it directly.

"FilmSlam began as a project of University of Central Florida's Downtown Media Arts Center (DMAC) in 2005. When DMAC closed in 2006, our venue changed to Enzian Theater where we held screenings until October 2019. All new seasons of FilmSlam will be held inside the SunTrust Theater within the Orlando Museum of Art!"
