The Film Slam on Sunday, April 19th was on par with previous Slams with regards to the shorts screening, but the Q&A was one of the most entertaining to date as stated by host John Theisen. Adam Arnali and Nicholas Escander discussed philosophy of art and film and a brief introduction on how to fly was given by Bird Man David Duncan. Something about Chi-Plasma building up. The old cliche, "You had to be there to understand" applies.
With that being said, the winner of the April Film Slam was Happy Birthday Jesus. It was a humerous look at what a surprise birthday party might be like for Jesus... Christmas carols and all. The film was written, directed, and produced by Stanley Pomianowski.
Second place voting went to I Hate Hip Hop by Escander and third place went to First Time by Catherine Smith and Andrew Stoneham.
