Orlando Hispanic Film Festival Discontinued
(released 4/20/2010)

On April 7th, Standard Entertainment sent out a press release stating that the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival will cease operations.  The culprit?  Lack of local financial support.

From festival producer James Schoepflin, "We built a great world class Latino event for the city of Orlando that just did not catch on with local corporate sponsors or the city."

The OHFF tripled its attendance within three years and showed films from countries around the world.  It also put on numerous educational events at the Orlando Public Library in downtown throughout the past three years aimed at teaching acting and film techniques.

Standard Entertainment will continue to produce films from its Casselberry office.
