Academy Award winning actor Alan Arkin will be at the Florida Film Festival on Friday, April 15th at the Enzian Theater. He will be receiving the John M. Tiedtke Lifetime Achievement Award, presenting the 45th anniversary screening of The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming!, and follow the screening with an audience Q&A. Everything starts at 7:00pm with the screening at 7:30. An Evening with Alan Arkin tickets are $30.
Alan Arkin is a Second City alum. He has been nominated for Academy Awards three times including his role as Lt. Rozanov in
The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming!, which happened to be his first feature film in 1966. Forty years later, he won his Oscar as the grandfather in
Little Miss Sunshine in 2006.
