Echoes of Regret was the September winner of the Film Slam. The 10 minute short film was written and directed by Fabian Reyes while produced by Aribel Reyes and Donald Lee.
Echoes of Regret is about Jerry, a wealthy businessman going through a bitter divorce, who hires a contract killer as a last resort to protect his fortune. When confronted with the brutal reality of murder-for-hire, he begins to doubt his decision, but it may already be too late.
The second place vote getter was Operation Shakedown and coming in third was The Passage.
The next and final Film Slam of the 2012 season takes place October 14th. It takes place at the Enzian Theater in Maitland and we'll post the competition films closer to the date.
If you haven't heard of the Film Slam, it is a local contest for short films. Audience members give each film a score and the film with the most points wins. The winning films are all screened at the end of the year in Enzian's Brouhaha Film & Video Showcase. There is no fee to enter your short into a future contest.
