This March 2024 will mark the 17th Anniversary of the Gasparilla International Film Festival that was founded in 2006. One of the largest celebrations of independent film in Tampa, it is a well-attended film festival. The festival showcases all types/genres, including features, documentaries, shorts, music videos, international films and more.
This year's festival dates are March 21-24, 2024 and will include individual screenings, screening blocks, and parties. Some of the venues for this year's festival include the Tampa Theater, AMC Westshore and UT Charlene A. Gordon Theater. Volunteer opportunities also exist if you would like to get involved with the festival beyond being an audience member.
The opening night film is Cash Out. The film stars John Travolta, who will be in attendance for the the screening. Also at the opening night screening will be Randall Emmett, Joel Cohen, Gwen Osborne, Quavo, Noel Gugliemi, Lukas Haas, and Natali Yura.
