The Sarasota Film Festival will be April 5-14, 2024. Opening Night Film: Bull Street will have its East coast premiere at the Regal Hollywood on April 5th. At 6pm, the theater is located at 1993 Main Street, Sarasota. A red carpet will take place at 5:30p.m. Director Lynn Dow, Producer Wendy Tucker Tannock and cast Amy Madigan, Arielle Prepetit, Gary Ray Moore, Mathew Greer, Idelia Johnson and Charles Watson are scheduled to be in attendance opening night.
The film is a look at generational wealth, clash of privilege and deep spiritual roots. The lead character played by Malynda Hale is a small town lawyer. She lost her mom during childbirth and was raised by her grandmother, Mrs. Big-Gal played by Loretta Devine. The southern drama is a call to action and a tribute to not taking your eye off the prize.
