The 23rd Miami short Film Festival is coming November 8-10, 2024, "Crossing Borders Binding Stories. The Miami short Film Festival is dedicated to promoting short films from 1-20 minutes in length. The goal is bringing exposure to independent up-and-coming filmmakers.

William Vela is the Executive Director/Founder & Director of Programming. Vela started the Miami short Film Festival with one film 20 years ago. William is working on expanding local, national, and international independent short film productions. He is involved in every aspect of the festival.

The festival will open Friday, November 8th at 8pm with Silk Road Stories. This program of short films from China and Iran highlights the cultural and diverse storytelling traditions of these two ancient civilizations giving a glimpse into the heart of Eastern cinema.
