No Sleep Till Screens at New Directors/New Films
(released 4/10/2025)

Filmmaker Alexandra Simpson's feature debut No Sleep Till just screened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City on Wednesday, April 9th. It will also play at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center on Friday, April 11th.

Both screenings are part of the New Directors / New Films festival, now in its 54th year.  This showing at ND/NF is significant, as the festival showcases new voices to the art and industry. Other notable directors to screen at previous ND/NF festivals include Kelly Reichardt, Pedro Almodóvar, Wong Kar-wai, Spike Lee, and Denis Villeneuve among others.

No Sleep Till has also played at the Venice Film Festival and received a special mention during its critics week.

"In a coastal Florida town threatened by an impending hurricane, locals prepare for a mandatory evacuation. As the last tourists depart and residents board-up their homes, a few wanderers choose to remain."

Sounds like a typical slice of life for anyone that's lived in Florida. No Sleep Till was made in Atlantic Beach in the Jacksonville area.

No Sleep Till is being distributed by Factory 25.  You can watch the trailer, which honestly plays more as a selection of clips, on Mubi. https://mubi.com/en/us/films/no-sleep-till
