Celebrating Florida's Student Filmmakers, the Palm Beaches Student Showcase is happening April 25, 2025 at Maltz Jupiter Theatre. The White carpet begins at 9:30a.m. and the awards show at 10:30 a.m.
Since 1995, the showcase has been spotlighting the next generation of visionary filmmakers, graphic designers and digital storytellers. Celebrating 30 years, this juried competition launches high school and college students, awarding scholarships and accolades across a wide range of categories. This year, a record 617 eligible submissions from 85 schools from across the sunshine state participated.
International judges, 54 to be exact, oversaw the entries. Cash and prizes totaling over $30,000 dollars will fuel this ceremony. The legacy of Burt Reynolds is represented in the Burt Reynolds Scholarship Award with a $5,000 cash prize to a Palm Beach County high school senior. Reynolds was a supporter and presenter for many years of this event.
Finalists and dignitaries will walk the white carpet, be interviewed by media and receive in-person awards and scholarships at the event.
