FIFA Miami Games Impact on Film Permitting
We want to make you aware of significant impacts to film production during the upcoming FIFA World Cup events. Miami-Dade County will be hosting seven FIFA World Cup matches, drawing extremely large crowds, and requiring substantial public safety resources across the county.
Due to the scale of these events, local law enforcement agencies will be fully committed to World Cup security operations. As a result:
- Miami-Dade County Police officers will not be available to staff any film productions on FIFA match days
- Film permits requiring law enforcement support will not be approved on match days
- Traffic restrictions, crowd management operations, and road closures around event zones may also affect production logistics countywide
We strongly encourage all filmmakers, producers, and location managers to plan ahead and adjust production schedules to avoid dates that overlap with the World Cup match calendar. The FIFA World Cup matches in Miami dates are:
