Valencia College has an immediate opening in the Film Dept. for a Senior Instructional Assistant. They are looking for an individual who can support and maintain an extensive camera, grip and electric package. The ideal candidate has a familiarity with gear, technology and on-set experience. About Valencia's Film Department: Valencia's film department shoots feature films with outside production companies using their own cameras, grip, lighting packages, production vehicles and student crew members. They are seeking a candidate that shares a love of cinema and pursues an avid interest in the technological advancements in filmmaking.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with RED cameras and grip/electric package.
Familiarity with editing software (Final Cut, Avid, and Adobe Premiere Pro).
Experience purchasing equipment and managing budgets.
General knowledge of field sound equipment.
Knowledge of maintenance and warranty procedures and ability to repair equipment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to communicate effectively and form relationships with vendors.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
