Melvin wins Film Slam for June 2016

The Enzian Film Slam took place June 12, 2016 at the Enzian Theater in Maitland, Florida. The winners by audience vote for the Sunday showcase of local filmmakers are:
1st Place: Melvin
2nd Place: Only For You
3rd Place: The Lost Weekend: Online Exposure
This slam was on the same day the news broke nationally of downtown Orlando nightclub Pulse being showered with bullets and news updates brought increases in the number of dead and wounded. Film Slam Producer Jen Vargas posted the winners along with this statement, "Once again, thank you to everyone who made it out to #FilmSlam today. We know it was a rough day, and your support is always appreciated. Our next Slam is on Sunday, July 10th. Rest well, filmmakers."
The Enzian is located in Maitland, Florida just north of downtown Orlando at 1300 South Orlando Avenue, Maitland, Florida 32751.
The Film Slam takes place at 1:00p.m. and each week features short films by area filmmakers.
