Flicks on Fairbanks Documentary Lineup Tonight

Flicks on Fairbanks is back on this Monday, May 2, 2005 (Doors at 8:00 PM) with an all documentary line up of indie shorts from Orlando, National, and even international documentary film/video makers.
The evening starts with a historical documentary about the youthful days of Burlesque in Boston. "Banned in Boston" (2005) chronicles the risqué career of Lily Ann Rose as she reminisces about her vaudeville days on the swanky stage. Directed by Katherine Fries. 10-Minutes.
In "My Sunday Night" (2003), director Mark Steensland illustrates how one individual can make a small positive change in the lives of unfortunate people on "skid row" in Los Angeles. 5-minutes & 45-seconds.
There is an indie film and video community in Orlando, I swear! Ok, don't believe me? Then check out "Indie Wood" (2005) by Orlando documentary movie maker David Rally. 9-minutes.
Director Dakota LaCroix depicts a startling and eye-opening story of one man's suicide as told by his daughter in "Suicide Tom" (2004). Featuring an amazing collection of eerie archival and historical footage.
FOF is proud to bring back "Good Stuff" (2004). In this documentary, Canadian director Matthew Nie portrays the life of Ray Bethell and his amazing kite flying abilities. Sympathetic, heart-warming, and intriguing. 8-minutes & 38-seconds.

Directions: From I-4 East: Take the FAIRBANKS AVE exit- exit number 87. Turn RIGHT onto FL-426 E/W FAIRBANKS AVE and travel approx. 1.2 miles. Austin Coffee and Film is a small, orange building on the LEFT HAND SIDE. If you passed the Holler Chevy sales lot, you've gone too far. Parking is available in the back and in the front at the Hertz rental store.
