South Of Heaven In Jacksonville

South of Heaven is a 35mm film which is shooting in Jacksonville. Production started in April and is scheduled to complete on May 14, 2005. The writer/director Jonathan Vara as well as two producers Jason Polstein and Glenn Abbott are UCF alumni.
Jonathan Vara met the third producer Brian Udovich at the AFI Masters program in Los Angeles. Udovich's thesis film "The Monster and the Peanut" won the Alfred P. Sloan foundation grant and also won the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmy) first prize in drama for student films in 2005.
Producer Udovich was attracted to the project when he read writer/director Vara's script. Udovich said, "Vara has an amazing sense of dialogue. [The] director had voice and vision."
