Florida Films at Sundance

Sundance, which runs January 19-29, 2006, selected 120 feature films for the upcoming festival. A couple of Florida made films are in its lineup.
In Documentary Competition:
Thin (Director: Lauren Greenfield) -- With unprecedented access and an unflinching eye, THIN documents 4 women struggling with anorexia and bulimia at a residential facility, Renfrew, for the treatment of eating disorders in Coral Gables. This is a world premiere.
In Dramatic Competition:
The Hawk Is Dying (Director: Julian Goldberger; Screenwriters: Harry Crews (novel) and Julian Goldberger) -- A Gainesville, Florida auto upholsterer, played by Paul Giamatti, attempts to subvert his mundane life by training a wild, red-tailed hawk. Julian Goldberger studied acting and directing at Florida State University. This is a world premiere.
