(released

Speaker Marco Rubio's 100 Innovative Ideas for Florida's Future is recognizing our film industry's potential by granting Rep. Don Davis' request to host an 'IdeaRaiser' focused on the film and entertainment industry.
Rep. Davis is inviting ALL OF THE FILM INDUSTRY to join him in Jacksonville on Thursday, August 3rd, 2006 from 7-9 PM. Details are listed below.
It's free – so please join the State Film Commissioner Paul Sirmons and the rest of Florida's citizens who care about our industry and want to ignite its growth by RSVP-ing and attending.
Achieving this meeting was the first step to reach a major goal established at both the recent Film Florida and Advisory Council meetings in Miami.
IdeaRaiser meetings are being held for many industries all over Florida, and the best 100 ideas for our economic future will be written up in Speaker Rubio's "Top 100 Innovative Ideas For Florida's Future" which will be catalogued and disseminated to the members of Florida's Legislature. If we want our industry to move ahead in the next legislative session, we need to be in the 100 Ideas book! The best of the IdeaRaisers will be summarized at the 100 Ideas Statewide Summit in Orlando on August 10 & 11th – but the summit isn't free. To learn more, go to their website at: www.100ideas.org.
If you can't show up August 3rd, please email Rep. Davis' office in advance at mary.goldsmith@myfloridahouse.gov with your best idea for improving our industry in a way that will boost Florida's economy. State Film Commissioner Paul Sirmons asks that you please 'cc' him at Paul.Sirmons@MyFlorida.com with your ideas as he wants to hear all your best ideas too!
