Local Rep To Discuss Local Incentive Legislation

State Representative Sheri McInvale, whose district covers downtown Orlando and surrounding areas, is in the process of creating legislation that will provide incentives for local, independent filmmakers to produce their movies here in Florida.
Based upon input from various people in the film industry, the idea of creating a grant program to "jump start" smaller, independent Florida producers is in the works. The proposal is still in the early stages of development, and a fund raiser reception will be held this Saturday, September 23rd at Chapman Leonard Studios to flesh out the idea even further with various stakeholders who are either directly or indirectly involved with the Entertainment industry.
The reception begins at 6:00pm and will be held at the main entrance of the studio. State legislators and their representatives will be in attendance.
