The Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival is preparing to bring their best show ever to the Space Coast on November 10 and 11th.
Great movies and celebrity guests will make the eighth annual celebration of independent film and charity fund-raiser, the most memorable ever. Advance tickets are on-sale online at
www.oaks10.com or at the Premiere Theaters Oaks Stadium 10 box office.
Events begin with a cutting edge Comedy Program Friday, November 10th at 7:00 pm which includes many festival winners like "Hooked", "Half-Empty", "Final Sale" and "Pee Shy". The Horror Program begins at 9:30 pm and includes the award-winning Florida film "Broken" and the brand new "Hoodoo for Voodoo" by Orlando filmmaker Steven Shea. The Friday night after party is at Meg O'Malley's in Downtown Melbourne.
Saturday morning at 10:30 begins the matinee and features in theater #1 the Florida Filmmakers Expo and in Theater #2 Matinee Madness. There will be an opportunity for the audience to meet the filmmakers and the stars of the night's special VIP screening of the fun sci-fi adventure film "I'll Believe You" which was shot on the Space Coast.
Stars expected to come include MIFF 2006 Guest of Honor Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld, The Emperor's New Groove, The Tick, Buzz Lightyear, Family Guy), David Alan Basche(United 93, War of the Worlds), Mo Rocca (VH1 I Love the 80's, The Smoking Gun, The Daily Show on Comedy Central), and Patrick Gallo (MIFF 2003 Guest of Honor). Director Paul Francis Sullivan and producer Ted Sullivan are also scheduled to attend.
The MIFF ends with a reception featuring food from restaurants and eateries in Brevard and live entertainment by singer/songwriters Robin & Eddy in the Oaks courtyard.
The after party will be at the Crowne Plaza Oceanfront.
