Seeking female lead opposite the protagonist in a feature length film inspired by 1970's American Realism and French New Wave Cinema. This project emphasizes naturalistic performances and collaborative scene building rather than traditional dramatic staging. 

Directed and starring a filmmaker trained in ESRA Paris. The completed film will be set to have a screening in Paris regardless of festival placement. 

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The film follows Jack, a young man returning to Orlando after living a year in New York. Restless, broke, and unable to accept the mundanity of daily life he slowly drifts back into crime while slowly reconnecting with Charisse who is a sense of familiarity and a possibility of change. 

Rather than serving as a simple love interest the character of Charisse is following her own trajectory and ambitions. Frustrated with the increasing costs and lack of opportunities she's preparing to leave Orlando for school in Boston. Jack and Charisses relationship unfolds naturally, rather than an explosive argument or confrontation. The connection between them is built around timing and hesitation. Charisse is unwilling to put her future on hold while Jack struggles to find where his is. 

CHARISSE

Emotionally honest, grounded, and mature. Must be comfortable with subtle and conversational performances with improvisational collaboration. The actress will have significant creative input in shaping the character and scenes during development. 

The role includes a kiss scene.

COMPENSATION
Paid role. Minimum compensation of $200, with potential for additional pay depending on production scope and scheduling. Anticipated shoot schedule is approximately 3–5 days total.
