Horror Short MINA Wins Film Slam #5
(released

By Douglas Lorah
There was a broad variety of films at Sunday's Film Slam. There were two tribute type films. There were comedies and spoofs. There was suspense and horror and I'm not sure how to describe Joseph Hunter for Sprinkler Control. I guess comedic drama.
Considering there were 8 films to draw people in, there weren't too many people in attendance, but it was Mother's Day. Gerald Godbout, who made In The Dark, actually brought his mother.
The results of the audience voting are as follows.
The winning film was Mina by Jose Cassella. Second place was Joseph Hunter for Sprinkler Control by Meredith Watt, Carlos Velasco, Nayim Saati, Seth L.T. Robinson, and Jason Boyette and third place was In The Dark by Gerald J. Godbout III.
This means that Mina has gained a screening slot at the Brouhaha Film & Video Showcase in December.
Photos from the FilmSlam are available for viewing in the PhotoSeen.
