Yellow Rick Road to shoot Rick Springfield Doc

Newly formed Yellow Rick Road Productions will be producing a feature documentary about Grammy winning performer Rick Springfield. The doc is being directed and produced by Sylvia Caminer, who recently sat on a panel at the Florida Film Festival. It is also being produced by local marketing vet Melanie Lentz-Janney.
Caminer runs Dolger Films and has won a Best Director Emmy for her Travel Channel show Great Hotels. She has produced numerous TV shows, feature films, and two documentaries. Lentz-Janney runs Doverwood Communications, a PR/Social Media/Marketing agency, and has worked with numerous celebrities during the past 20 years. She's also a fan of Springfield.
Rick Springfield is best known for his number one song Jessie's Girl and starring in ABC's General Hospital.
The filmmakers will be capturing and sharing with the world what it is about Rick Springfield that still creates frenzy among his fans. The film will focus on some universal human desires, such as the importance of connecting with like-minded friends and the ability to create new memories as adults reminiscent of the carefree days of our adolescence. The filmmakers anticipate that viewers will be entertained and inspired by Springfield and his fans' personal experiences to embrace their inner teenagers.
The documentary film, tentatively titled "An Affair of the Heart", will begin shooting in early May and continue throughout the remainder of 2010. Yellow Rick Road's plans to distribute through film festivals, small theatrical releases, a cable television outlet, and DVD sales. The film will be released in 2011 to help commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Rick Springfield's hit album, Working Class Dog. More information will soon be available at www.rickspringfielddoc.com.
