Orlando-based i.d.e.a.s. is set to deliver the HD edit as well as audio for the CBS original miniseries 'Elvis.' i.d.e.a.s. will oversee the HD on-line and all of the post production audio for the four-hour miniseries depicting the life of Elvis Presley.
Produced by Los Angeles based Jaffe/Braunstein Films, the miniseries will be using the master recordings of Elvis' most famous hits for the first time in a biographical film about his life. Filming in New Orleans began January 10 and runs through the beginning of March. Upon completion of production and the off-line edit, the ten-member i.d.e.a.s. post team will be responsible for the HD conform, color correction, foley, dialogue editing, sound design, mix and final delivery.
"The entire team is very excited to begin the post," said Sam Patterson, HD On-line Editor. "To bring the original recordings to such a huge television audience is a benchmark we're proud to set," Audio Mixer Rob Hill continued.
i.d.e.a.s. expects to start post production after March 21, delivering to CBS on April 30 for the two-night airing the week of May 8.
