The Perfect Neighbor, from Geeta Gandbhir, reconstructs a racially motivated crime in Florida using police body-cam footage and firsthand witness testimonies, creating an intimate account of violence and justice in America. The film was part of the 63 New York Film Festival's spotlight feature documentaries.

The documentary follows the killing of Ajike Owens, told through body cam footage, exploring disputes that led to the murder. Broadcast Journalist Soledad O'Brien serves as an executive producer on the film.

Ajike "AJ" Shantell Owens was shot and killed on June 2, 2023 in Ocala, Florida. Susan Lorincz was the killer. Susan uses the stand-your-ground law as her defense. Ajlke Owens was the best friend of director Geeta Gandbhir's sister-in-law. Concerned that Susan Lorincz would use the stand-your-ground law, she along with her partner and fellow producer Nikon Kwangju went to Florida and began filming.
