Miami Film Festival Runs March 9-18

The Miami Film Festival 2018 is March 9-18. The opening night film is Tully directed by Jason Reitman who will be in attendance at the Olympia Theater screening at 7p.m. followed by dinner at EAST, Miami at 9:30p.m. The opening night party is themed In The Jungle and will be held at Miami's Design District's Jungle Plaza.
A Producer's Master Class will be held March 15, 2018 at 7p.m. Learn from Kevin Chinoy and Francesca Silverstri who recently worked on The Florida Project as producers with A24 Films and Sean Baker. The duo have 20 years experience in independent cinema. The class will be held at the Miami Dade College Tower Theater located at 1508 SW 8th Street.
Movie Pass is working with the festival this year and declaring Movie Pass days as March 11th and 14th. Movie Pass Desserts + Directors party will be in honor of Spanish filmmaker Carlos Saura on March 11, 2018. Sweet treats and a chance to win a Movie Pass subscription are highlights of the evening being held at 1306 Miami.
Argentinian actress Dolores Fonzi Day will be March 12th by declaration of the 35th edition of the festival. Dolores appears in three films running at this year's festival and an opportunity to see two of them back to back will be at the Tower Theater on the 12th of March.
