Orlando-based i.d.e.a.s. is slated to deliver sound design, dialogue editing, Foley, and final mix for Lifetime's upcoming "Island Heat" telepic trilogy. The women's cable network plans to air the shows as part of its Monday Night Movie franchise. John Lux, i.d.e.a.s. General Manager, made the announcement on Monday, May 1st.
Written by Matt Dorff and Executive Produced by Dorff and Bill O'Dowd, the trilogy is being produced by Island Heat Productions Puerto Rico, LLC. Set in the Caribbean, the three made-for-television thrillers debut with "Island Heat: Stranded," starring Smallville's Erica Durance. Carlos Ponce of 7th Heaven has signed on to play police inspector Raddimus, a recurring character appearing in all three installments.
"We found that i.d.e.a.s. easily delivers the experience, speed and technology we need to bring the project in," commented Dorff. "We're very pleased to have this opportunity to work with their post audio team."
The award winning post production audio group at i.d.e.a.s. will begin audio post on May 4, 2006, delivering the first installment in late-May. i.d.e.a.s. will complete audio for the second movie, "Island Heat: Vanished", at the end of June and the final installment, "Island Heat: Break-In", by mid-July, 2006. "It's a tight schedule and we're going to rely heavily on our team's experience together as well as taking full advantage of our recently upgraded audio suites," commented Lux.
