Original Orlando Actor in Straight Outta Compton (released 8/24/2015) By Douglas Lorah Neil Brown Jr., born in Orlando and an Oak Ridge High School product, plays DJ Yella in the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton. The feature film came out August 14 and raked in $60 million its first weekend taking the #1 spot at the box office.  It finished the week with $84 million.  Straight Outta Compton remained in first this weekend with over $26 million and now totalling $111 million.
