Freedom Ride wins July Film Slam (released 7/11/2011) By Douglas Lorah The winner of July's Film Slam was Freedom Ride, an 8 minute short documentary about the therapeutic horseback riding facility on Lee Road next to the old Ben White Raceway. Freedom Ride was written and directed by Andreyna Sanchez and produced by Aaron West.  They can now take their short film to the Brouhaha Film & Video Showcase in December and possibly onto the Florida Film Festival in the spring.  Go to FreedomRide.com for information on the non-profit organization.
