The winner of the January 17th Film Slam was Insight to Strengths by Jen Ackerman.  Ackerman, a film student turned social work major, handled writing, producing, and directing the short film.

Insight to Strengths is described as a documentary that illustrates the strengths sifted out of living in the minority status of LGBT individuals.

Second place went to Crushed by Paola Ariza and third place went to CoopeTal by Alicia Haberman.
