CENFLO is January 24th-26th, 2025. The mission of Central Florida Film Festival (CENFLO) is to "entertain, educate and expose Florida residents and audiences to the cultural importance of independent film as an art." Epic Theaters Mount Dora will serve as the host venue for the weekend festival located at 2300 Spring Harbor Boulevard, just off US 441 between Target and Walmart.
The festival declares itself as a "Film Festival by Filmmakers for Filmmakers". Writer, director, producer Bob Cook and Brandon Arrington, the Artistic Director for the Osceola Center for the Arts teamed up to create, produce and develop a new film festival for the Central Florida region.
The festival debut was 2006. In 2008 their first international participant came to be with Robert Hackett of the United Kingdom and his award winning short film 'Patience'. Soon the festival would grow into more space at West Orange Cinemas in Ocoee, the festival's home base venue. The festival would carry on to become named in the list of "Top 25 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee" by Movie Maker Magazine. In 2018 the festival landscape changed with the move to Mount Dora and the Epic Theaters.
