Global Peace Film Festival Looking for Volunteers

The Global Peac Film Festival is in it's 15th year.  They focus on global issues and through the power of the moving image, they wish to further the cause of peace on Earth.

They are currently looking for volunteers to help in the following tasks:
  • Distributing window decals and posters to local businesses around Orlando for promotion (dates in the beginning of September)
  • Ushers
  • Tech assistants (making sure films play on time and without interruption for each showing)
  • Drivers (with a good driving record) for picking up/dropping off filmmakers
  • Ticket takers, etc.
They're all over Orlando including the Cobb theater downtown, Rollins College, City Hall, The Enzian, City Arts Factory, etc. They're also offering a special volunteer screening night, parties, and other fun events.

  • August 21 - Sept 18 - distribute flyers and window clings to surrounding businesses for display
  • Sept 9 - 10am-5pm, Bloomingdales in Millenia Mall, supporting with shopping event
  • Sept 18 - 4pm-7pm, Art exhibit reception in City Hall
  • Sept 19 - 4pm - 8pm, Opening Night Enzian Theater
  • Sept 20 - 3:30pm - 10pm, Rollins College
  • Sept 21 - 3:30pm - 10pm, Rollins College, Winter Park Library Community Room, Cobb Plaza (please specify location preference)
  • Sept 22 - 3:30pm - 10pm, Rollins College, Winter Park Library Community Room, Cobb Plaza (please specify location preference)
  • Sept 23 - 10am - 10pm, Rollins College, Winter Park Library Community Room, Cobb Plaza (please specify location preference)
  • Sept 24 - 12pm-8pm, Rollins College, Winter Park Library Community Room, Cobb Plaza (please specify location preference)
